Kelvix.

Why Kelvix exists.

Because a dentist should not have to take somebody's word for what is wrong with their own website.

The bill arrives monthly. The explanation does not.

Search work for a local business is almost always sold as a retainer: a fixed amount every month, for as long as you keep paying it. In a 2024 survey of 260 agencies, 94% of them serving small or local businesses, 64% charged under $1,000 a month, about a third charged more than that, and 15% charged over $2,000.

Those are real ranges, and plenty of the people charging them do real work. The problem is not the number. The problem is that the person paying it usually cannot tell what it bought. A report arrives, or it does not. Rankings move, or they do not, and nobody can say which part of the invoice is responsible.

A large part of that work is a checklist.

Is anything telling search engines not to read this page. Does every page have a title, and is it different from the others. Does the structured data parse. Is the sitemap current. Are the links still pointing at pages that exist. Can an AI assistant fetch the site at all.

That list is 37 items long, it barely changes month to month, and it has to be re-run constantly because websites drift. A person working through it by hand is slower than a machine and less consistent than a machine. The part that matters most: they have no easy way to show you the evidence for each answer.

A machine can do that part every week, on every page, and print the receipt next to every finding. There is no craft in it. It should not be the expensive half of anybody's invoice.

The rest is worth paying for.

Deciding what your business should actually be known for. Writing pages a person wants to read. Photographs. Getting reviews from people who mean them. Answering the phone when somebody calls. None of that is a checklist and none of it is automatable, and a good agency earns its retainer on exactly that work.

What we think is unreasonable is being charged for the mechanical half without ever being shown it. So we give that half away. Run the check, read every finding for free, and then decide what you are hiring somebody to do, with the list in your hand instead of taking it on trust.
